Straight-forward stopping power comes in the form of Tektro Mechanical Disc Brakes with 180mm rotors.

The Suntour XCT coil suspension with 100mm travel will cushion the bumps, as will the chunky 27.5" Kenda K1027 tyres. The Carrera Vengeance Women's Electric Mountain Bike offers an all-round package to tackle any hill. Rest assured, this model also comes with a 2-year warranty on all electrical components.

Battery: A semi integrated Suntour STL battery is mounted onto the Vengeance E's frame, weight is balanced against the rear mounted hub motor providing an improved ride quality, over those with rear-mounted batteries. With a capacity of 317Wh / 9Ah and a range of up to 40miles* per charge the Vengeance E is more than capable for those off-road battles. To support the sophisticated motor and battery system, the Vengeance E comes with a smart control system (BMS) that protects the battery from overheating, short circuiting or overcharging.

Carrera Bikes

This bike was manufactured by Carrera, a well known brand of bikes sold by Halfords. Carrera are one of the most popular UK bike brands, and offer ranges of mountain bikes, road bikes, hybrids, folding bikes, kids bikes and more recently E-Bikes. Carrera bikes are known for their exceptional value, and are largely priced under £600, making them both accessible and appealing to the British public.

Carrera Vengeance E-Bikes

The Carrera Vengeance range has recently been expanded to include e-bikes, which follow suit with the rest of the line up in providing a 6061 alloy hardtail chassis and 27.5" wheels. Available in two flavours; men's or women's, these electric mountain bikes strongly resemble their regular human powered siblings, albeit with a battery, motor and handlebar controls, combined with a 20lb weight increase and an additional £700. So what do you get for your money? A 40 mile assisted range under typical riding conditions, with a 6 hour charge period. 4 different modes, with handlebar controls and display, complete with cadence sensor. Superior disc brakes, with a 20mm increase in rotor diameter. An upgraded and simplified drivetrain, with 2 x Shimano phased out in favour of a 1x SRAM system. Put simply, the Vengeance e-bike is a better version of the regular bike, with the peace of mind of a 2 year guarantee for the electrical components.

Carrera Vengeance Mountain Bikes

Carrera Vengeance are a selection of 6061 alloy Mountain Bikes, featuring 8sp Shimano Altus Groupsets, 100mm Suntour XCM Forks, Disc Brakes & 27.5" wheels, for sale @ £300-£400, and £1100 for the E-Bike. The Carrera Vengeance range consists of the incredibly popular men's Vengeance, an entry level hardtail mountain bike, with a women's specific model also available. Carrera also have introduced a Junior 26" wheel model for younger riders, as well as a men's and women's e-bike to complete the series. These e-bikes appear very similar to the regular Vengeance models, but with a downtube mounted battery fitted where the bottle cage would be, with the motor located by the bottom bracket. All Vengeance models feature the same relaxed geometry with slack head angles to enable you to traverse across roots and rocks effectively. Apart from the aforementioned Junior model, the rest of the range utilise 27.5" (650b) wheels.
