With its new geometry having been designed to offer new improved levels of comfort, the lightweight but durable alloy frame, which comes with a lifetime guarantee, is ideal for leisurely rides or around town.

The Shimano 2x drivetrain is simple to use, makes for smoother gear transitions and delivers fantastic performance from the 2x7 gears. To enhance the riding experience, we have also upgraded the drivetrain on the new Parva, moving from a triple chainset to a 2x (2 by). One less cog at the front means less weight and less maintenance but also makes changing gears more intuitive as fewer choices help you get the one you want quicker.

And, don't worry about the range of gears. The Parva now comes with a bigger 7-speed cassette at the back wheel so you've still got those important choices at the top and bottom end of the range. Sometimes, less is definitely more!.

Weighing in at just 13.5kg, the Carrera Parva's lightweight aluminium frame does a great job of keeping the bike's overall weight down, helping you to cycle further for longer. We've made the bike slightly higher at the front end, giving a more upright and comfortable riding position. Most people find this position and the flat handlebars a great combination for maintaining great visibility of the road ahead.

Carrera Bikes

This bike was manufactured by Carrera, a well known brand of bikes sold by Halfords. Carrera are one of the most popular UK bike brands, and offer ranges of mountain bikes, road bikes, hybrids, folding bikes, kids bikes and more recently E-Bikes. Carrera bikes are known for their exceptional value, and are largely priced under £600, making them both accessible and appealing to the British public.

Carrera Parva Bikes

Carrera Parva are a range of cheap alloy hybrid bikes, featuring 14 Speed Tourney drivetrain, V-Brakes and 27.5" wheels for sale at around the £300 mark. Given the relatively low price, the Parva are classified as an entry level bike, with rigid forks and a less expensive braking system comprising of V Brakes. There are men's and ladies options in this range, with the latter featuring female specific geometry and sizing. Each Carrera Parva Bike provides a double chainset with a 7 speed cassette, which when combined with the lack of suspension means that there is little in the way of maintenance, especially given that this bike is solely designed for road use. In short, the Parva's are a decent choice as either a commuting bike, or for a new bike for occasional use by the casual cyclist.
