Inner Tubes are the air tight rubber rings which fit within the tyre, and are inflated with a bike pump to lock it in place. Tubes are categorised by diameter (or wheel size - on adult bikes this will be 26", 27.5", 29" or 700c) as well as width (from skinny road tyres, to high capacity 2.4" MTB tubes) as well intended purpose (Road, MTB, cyclocross etc) - if in doubt check the side wall of your bike tyre, and it should contain this information.
