Frame: The Planet X RTD-90 is our lightest monocoque disc frameset. It pairs a precisely tracking, straight blade full carbon fork with our newest race-ready frame design, meticulously crafted from Toray's finest T800 and reinforced with selected HM (high modulus) carbon fibre. Rigorous computer modelling and analysis of the bottom bracket and chainstays has yielded a frame of unmatched lateral stiffness that surges forward with every pedal stroke, to help you climb faster and out-sprint the competition.
Each RTD-90 is created with our 'EPS Inside' moulding technology. Main tube frame junctions are laid up over pre-shaped EPS formers. This allows for a more accurate placement of carbon in the mould and helps to eliminate wrinkles inside of the frame to deliver stronger, lighter frames with absolute consistency from frame to frame.
Disk brakes are set to turn the road bike market on its head. They offer greater stopping power, modulation, mechanical leverage and they eliminate rim wear.
