2017 Mavic Deemax Ultimate Front Wheel
Developed with and used by some of the fastest racers on the world cup circuit, Deemax Ultimate is among the lightest of downhill wheels, taking Sam Hill to the top step of the podium twice during the 2014 season.
Featuring Mavic's distinctive yellow paint, the alloy rim has been developed using their patented ISM weight reduction technology.
This technology creates a central line of standard alloy thickness along the rim. This means the weight of the rest of the rim can be reduced to help acceleration and handling, while it stays just as strong - a key element in downhill. The spokes are steel made, double-butted and bladed, with 28 in the front, to cope with the huge hits that are part of racing the clock downhill.
The ITS 4 freewheel system, with 4 poles and only 7.5 (degrees) between engaged positions, reduces the time out of a corner to get back up to maximum speed. Deemax Ultimate is compatible with multiple axle standards and comes delivered with 20mm front (9mm and 15mm adaptors are optional but common to other wheels in the Mavic line up).
