The Giro Women's Chrono Pro Windbloc (R) Jersey pairs a Polartec (R) Windbloc (R) front and a luxurious breathable Italian thermal back to create a jersey which excels at keeping you warm and sweat-free during the cooler months of spring and aut During autumn, your summer fitness is still in the legs, while spring sees training intensity ramp-up and it's here in the transitional seasons the Women's Chrono Pro Windbloc (R) Jersey comes into its own.
The transitional seasons also see cooler temperatures still prevailing and so windproof Polartec (R) Windbloc (R) on the front and top of the sleeves prevents windchill from causing discomfort and seals in warmth. Meanwhile, the highly breathable Italian thermal fabric to the back panel and the bottom of sleeves ensures your more intense efforts won't leave you sweaty and damp inside. if you do begin to overheat the full-length front zipper makes it easy to enhance ventilation as and when you need it.
Practical features abound too, the three Expandable Storage Pockets (ESP) allow you to stow nutrition and a rain jacket with ease while a zipped pocket makes space for keys and cash. Nowadays Giro are one of the largest helmet (and other cycling apparel) manufacturers in the world. They began life in the garage of Jim Gentes in 1985, California; his aim was to create a lightweight yet safe helmet, and from this goal the Giro Prolight was created. In 1994 the famous Roc-Loc system was launched, to keep the helmet in the correct position, maintaining comfort and safety. It enabled the wearer to fine tune the position of the helmet, helping to ensure a custom fit for every rider. Throughout it's history Giro has strived to create functional yet safe products, which also appear cool to encourage riders to use them. Sometimes it pays off (the Air Attack and the Xen) and sometimes not (The Fat Hat). Other innovations include the Aerohead, which helped win Greg Lemond the Tour de France by 8 seconds, and the Switchblade with removable facial protection. Nowadays Giro produce a line of cycling gloves, introduced in 2008, shoes (2010) and clothing lines (2013). In recent years Giro have introduced MIPs technology to their higher end helmets, helping to reduce the crash impact on a wearer's head and neck.
