Campagnolo Potenza 11 Speed Double Chainset
Campagnolo Potenza 11 Speed Double Chainset

Campagnolo Potenza 11sp Double Alloy Road Chainset
11-speed chainset gives great performance Hollow forged alloy construction is lightweight Weight from just 771g Whether you are looking to upgrade to 11-speed or if you simply want to replace your current 11-speed chainset then Campagnolo Potenza is a great choice as it offers the perfect combination between performance and value.
The design of the 4 arm carbon fiber chainsets that so well identify the Super Record, Record and Chorus groupsets has also found its way into this fantastic Potenza 11 drivetrain, albeit in an aluminium construction. The Potenza chainset is made with both left and right crank arms in hollow forged aluminium to keep weight to a minimum while maintaining the same performance characteristics of its carbon fiber counterparts. Potenza's 4 arm spider design makes for one single crankarm for all chainring options thanks to its unified bolt pattern which allows for all 3 chainring standards 53/39, 52/36 and 50/34 to be built upon the same chainset.
Changing between compact and standard with the Potenza groupset is as easy as changing 8 bolts and two chainrings. While the 4-arm bolt pattern offers advantages in terms of practicality, the Campy Tech Lab designed it primarily with performance characteristics in mind. The 8 bolt pattern with a spider arm design not only holds the chainring in place by way of the bolt but also supports the chainring and in doing so, increases system rigidity to the point of surpassing its direct competitors in laboratory tests.

Campagnolo Chainsets
The Italian bike component manufacturer Campagnolo is best known for it's range of groupsets and drivetrain related products. Founded in 1933 by road cyclist Tullio Campagnolo, based upon ideas he had for amongst others, wheels and derailleurs. In 1940 their first rear derailleur entered production, enabling the rider to change gears without removing their rear wheel. Although primarily a cycling company, Campag (as they are often abbreviated to) have also manufactured products for the sports auto industry for brands such as Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati. Achievements in the cycling world include helping Eddy Merckx set the world hour record in 1972. As the years progressed, the number of gears increased, with 8 Speed (1991), 9 Speed (in 1997), 10 speed (in 2000) and now 11 speed in 2008. Notable riders to have won the Tour de France on Campag equipment include Eddy Merckx (5 times), Bernard Hinault (5 times), Greg LeMond (twice) and Miguel Indurain (5 times). In recent times Riis, Ullrich, Pantani, Pereiro and Nibali have won riding with Campagnolo.
