We have designed this mountain bike for 9 to 12 year-olds (135 to 150 cm) wanting to regularly go mountain biking.

To ensure riders can easily overcome rough terrain, we've equipped this 24-inch MTB with a suspension fork. Easily tackle hilly paths with the 18 speeds.

Ease of use: With two grip shifters to easily change between the 18 speeds.

Brake control: Two V-Brake pads for effective braking.

Efficiency: Suspension fork. Skinwall tyres for less weight, with side knobs.

Cycling comfort: A saddle with a sporty design and a shape adapted to kids' bodies.

A frame that is suitable for mountain biking: Our engineers have designed a new, robust steel frame. The frame's rear chainstays are short to make the bike dynamic and easy to handle.

Front suspension to cushion unpredictable terrain: Take on new challenging terrain (roots, stones, gravel, etc.) with ease thanks to the travel of the front suspension fork.

Changing between the 18 speeds: This bike is equipped with 2 grip shifters to make it easy to change between the 18 speeds.

Left (chainrings): control ascents/descents.

Right (speeds): more precise control over your pedalling.

Controlled braking: Two V-Brake pads for effective braking. These brakes are composed of callipers that exert more or less pressure on the rim to slow or stop the rotation of the wheels.

A reinforced, ergonomic saddle: A saddle with a sporty design, designed with care to adapt to the morphology of children. It is equipped with a plastic cover at the back (a bumper) to protect against any impacts.

Riding position: To provide you with maximum comfort, this mountain bike is equipped with a high-rise stem.

Your position on the bike is slightly raised so you can better anticipate your trajectory.

Crankset: The new chainset has a 152 mm crank that is adapted to the length of your child's leg. This chainset allows you to start pedalling more easily.

The crankset is covered with a guard to stop you coming into contact with the metal chainring. The double guard over the chain stops it jumping.

24" wheels and SkinWall MTB tyres: To transport the bike, we've made it easy to remove and attach the front wheel.

It is equipped with a quick-release system. The tyres use SkinWall technology. This process reduces their weight and makes them more flexible, which increases performance, grip and comfort.

The recommended tyre pressure is displayed on the tyre sidewall (between 2 and 3.5 bar). 24-inch 1.7 to 2.2 cross-section inner tube with Schrader valve.

Bike accessories: This MTB is equipped with a bell, lighting, wheel reflectors and platform pedals.

B'Twin Bikes

B'Twin are a popular choice of bike in the UK, partly due to their widespread distribution by Decathlon, and partly due to the value they offer. Their bikes are divided into several slightly overlapping ranges, with Triban best known for road and gravel bikes, and Rockrider gaining a reputation for high performing MTBs to suit every budget. Elops largely consist of a range of city bikes, whereas Riverside focus on hybrids. All in all, B'Twin bikes are well worth checking out given the size of their ranges; there's a model to suit most budgets.

Rockrider Mountain Bikes

Rockrider are Decathlon's off-road offerings, comprising of a series of kids bikes and adult hardtails, full suspension steeds and even a handful of high end E-MTBs.

This brand was launched in 2018, when Decathlon decided to split their B'Twin bikes into different genres. In terms of prices, there's something for everyone, with adult's MTBs starting at just over £200 and rising up to high end lightweight race bikes at nearly the £4000 mark.
