Shimano Tall Wool Socks
When the conditions for cycling are turning colder then Shimano's Tall Wool Socks come into their own.
The soft wool blend yarn is naturally insulating, trapping body warmth while still allowing your feet to breathe for all-day freshness. While the wool construction keeps your feet toasty the synthetic fibres whisk away sweat for the skin to prevent discomfort. The anatomical seamless toe construction and cushioned in-step make the Tall Wool Socks extremely comfortable.
With their tall cuff, they also add an extra layer of warmth under tights or leg warmers. Wool yarn keeps toes dry and warm. Increased cuff height for draft-free warmth.
3D Anatomic seamless toe construction. Instep cushioning for a comfortable foot-to-shoe interface. 55% Wool, 27% Polyamide (Nylon), 16% Polyester, 2% Polyurethane.

Wrong colour or material? Or just the wrong length? Either way, if these aren't the right socks for you, then I've got loads more on my cycling socks page. The majority are regular pairs, but I do occasionally come across the odd waterproof or specialist pair from the likes of SealSkinz as well. There's only so much you can say about socks, so I'll keep it short - essentially I list any pairs which have been heavily reduced - this could be because they're an unusual size (typically small or very large items are the cheapest), or just because they're last year's stock - either way hopefully I can save you some cash.

Shimano are a Japanese manufacturer primarily known for their cycling components, and to a lesser extent shoes and clothing. Founded in 1921, Shimano is widely believed to be the largest cycling component manufacturer in the world, having reached this status through a combination of innovation, reliability and value for money. Whatever your style of riding, whether it be road or MTB, Shimano will have a component range to suit your level and budget, from the low end Alivio and Tiagra to the professional standard XTR and Dura-Ace. Over the years, Shimano have revolutionised bicycle gear, brake and pedal systems, such as the recessed SPD, Hollowtech crank arms and smooth shifting Hyperglide sprockets. Initially their component range faced competition from Suntour, whereas nowadays their primary rivals for market share are SRAM and Campagnolo. If you wish to save money on their components and apparel, please visit my Shimano section, where I list as many money saving deals as I can find.
