Polaris Splinter MTB Shoes
Polaris Splinter MTB Shoes
Polaris Splinter Shoes
The Splinter Trail Shoe has an aggressive Vibram (R) sole, great for traction off the bike in muddy conditions.
Lace closure system with two hook and loop security straps. Reinforced toe box and heel cup for long term durability as well as hard wearing synthetic suede and PU upper material. Features also include SPD compatible sole, heel loop for ease of fitting and reflective heel detail.
The shoe can be used with or with out cleats. (Cleats are not supplied). The toe is protected with two layers of armoured rubber, a great defence against rock strikes while cleated in.
The sole is stiff to give good power transfer but with enough flex to ensure walking is comfortable and safe on rough terrain. With its Vibram (R) tread it is easily able to take cleats but ensure they are recessed enough to make sure they are easy to walk in without the fear of slipping. This gives the shoe great appeal for touring and bikepacking and trail riding where the user is likely to encounter a variety of terrain both under tyre and foot. Trail cycling shoe with an aggressive SPD compatible sole.
Vibram (R) MultiTrek compound sole ensures maximum grip on all terrains.
The structure of the sole is suitable for SPD cleats, guaranteeing ideal integration between pedal and shoes; the metal of the binding is intelligently "embedded" in between the rubber lugs: walking is safer than with traditional mountainbike soles. Lace up closure system with hook and loop security strap & Reinforced toe box and heel cup.
Hard wearing synthetic suede and PU upper with Heel loop for ease of fitting. Double reinforced toe with sole "turn-up" to give unequalled protection against rocks especially when pedalling.

Polaris Bike Wear was founded in the early 1990s by Roger Dillon, named after the Pole Star. It's aim was to provide technical Mountain Bike clothing suitable for British weather and riding. He taught himself to sew, began designing his first range and thus the brand was born. Based in Derbyshire, Polaris distributes it's ranges to most major European countries, such as Spain, Germany and France, as well as numerous worldwide. As a brand, Polaris is also known for the groundbreaking and popular Polaris Challenge, a two day event combining Mountain Biking and Orienteering. The aim of this unique event is to gain points for navigating to set check points, with a fixed time limit to reach the finish. The individuals and teams with the most points (minus time penalties) are declared the victors. Polaris are also known for supporting worthwhile causes and charities, with examples including Project Enduro and Children In Need.
