The softshell and neoprene construction of the Castelli Evo Overshoes makes for a shoe cover designed to provide warmth and insulation while offering water resistance on days where the weather swings from dry to damp and back again.
Castelli's primary focus for the Evo overshoes was warmth and fit with some water resistance thrown in for good measure. The SoftShell main fabric keeps splashes at bay, while the neoprene insert at the ankle allows extra flexibility for a natural fit when pedalling. While not totally waterproof or as breathable as the Narcisista bootie, these overshoes were made to allow hours of riding with toasty feet.
As winters become less extreme we'd expect these to be the ideal overshoe for the majority of your autumn and winter rides.

If this set aren't the right size for you, then I have plenty more in my overshoes section. Each set varies in terms of characteristics; from heavy duty thermal wind & waterproof zip covers to simply lightweight aerodynamic skins for time trialing, I strive to include any heavily reduced outer footwear deals I can find, regardless of manufacturer or retailer. Either way, please make sure that they are the correct sizing (so that they fit over your cycling shoes) - some brands run tight, whereas other overshoes are specifically designed for road shoes, and so won't fit over MTB SPD shoes due to the protruding grippy soles.
