The Women's Rockrider MTB Project: Designed and developed entirely in France at the B'Twin Village (Lille). The team studied the features of the female form and used this to design and test the ST 530 MTB, involving women mountain bikers at every stage of the process. Our aim is to make you want to jump onto your comfortable, easy-to-use mountain bike so that you enjoy every one of your rides.

Frame: For added comfort on our ST 530 women's model, our designers created a frame that's easy to get onto. The CGF frame (Comfort Geometry Frame), made of 100% aluminium, provides excellent comfort and manoeuvrability. The slope is designed to keep your back straighter, so you can ride without neck pain, while the shorter rear bases make the bike more agile in turns.

100mm Front Suspension: Take on any obstacle with the 100 mm front suspension. It gets you past anything that's in your way (roots, rocks, mud, etc.) with no bother. It features U-Fit (weight adjuster) technology so that you can easily adjust the stiffness, based on the rider's weight (must be over 45 kg), using a dial.

The single chainring is easy and efficient to use: 1 chainring and 9 speeds.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes: No matter what conditions you ride in (dry/wet), the Rockrider by Tektro 160mm double hydraulic disc brakes will come through for you, even in the mud. Hydraulic brakes are more powerful and progressive, requiring much less effort when applying pressure on the levers.

The levers are made from aluminium. They are easy to grip, light and precise, as well as being 1 cm closer together than normal.

27.5" Wheels With Double-Walled Rims And All-Condition Tyres: The aluminium wheels are effective and sturdy: 27.5" diameter and double-walled rims.

Their diameter is the perfect balance of comfort and performance. With their 28 spokes, they are lightweight, stiff, and durable. The wide, exclusive ROCKRIDER ALL CONDITIONS (30 TPI) 27.5" x 2.0 tyres have side knobs designed for riding on all types of terrain (dry, wet, etc.).

Tubeless Ready 23 mm rims: SCHRADER valves, TUBELESS rim tape, TUBELESS tyres, and puncture-proof liquid to be added.

Platform pedals: The ST 530 women's bike is supplied with Rockrider Flat pedals with a wider pedalling surface and more pronounced dots for better grip on the pedal.

B'Twin Bikes

B'Twin are a popular choice of bike in the UK, partly due to their widespread distribution by Decathlon, and partly due to the value they offer. Their bikes are divided into several slightly overlapping ranges, with Triban best known for road and gravel bikes, and Rockrider gaining a reputation for high performing MTBs to suit every budget. Elops largely consist of a range of city bikes, whereas Riverside focus on hybrids. All in all, B'Twin bikes are well worth checking out given the size of their ranges; there's a model to suit most budgets.

Rockrider Mountain Bikes

Rockrider are Decathlon's off-road offerings, comprising of a series of kids bikes and adult hardtails, full suspension steeds and even a handful of high end E-MTBs.

This brand was launched in 2018, when Decathlon decided to split their B'Twin bikes into different genres. In terms of prices, there's something for everyone, with adult's MTBs starting at just over £200 and rising up to high end lightweight race bikes at nearly the £4000 mark.
