Our teams performed a postural study on a mountain bike to ensure that women are comfy in the saddle: The "women comfort" saddle on the Women's E.ST 500 is ergonomic: hollowed in the centre to prevent chafing. The 60 mm stem is shorter, as women's torsos are shorter. This prevents an overly horizontal position which may cause back or neck pain.

The position can be raised by placing an adapter under the stem. The fork can be adjusted to your weight. The 620 mm handlebar is narrower.

Choosing Your E-ST 500 Mountain Bike Size: Several sizes available: S: between 1.50m and 1.64m.

M: between 1.65 m and 1.74 m.

L: between 1.75 m and 1.84 m.

If you are between 2 sizes: Choose the smaller size for easier steering (easier to handle) and comfort (straighter back). Choose the larger size for easier pedalling with a more stretched-out position (position more suited to performance).

A Frame For Sturdiness And Fun: The frame of the Rockrider E-ST500 women's bike has been made from 6061 aluminium with hydroformed tubes.

Why? The battery sits snugly on the frame to improve the robustness of this electric mountain bike. The forged aluminium parts make it both compatible with the new 2.4 x 27.5+ tyre format (wider than the 27.5") and easy to manoeuvre. We've kept the frame geometry low to make sure that the bike stays comfortable to ride.

A 42nm Motor To Climb Your First Slopes: The motor on the rear wheel was co-developed with VISION for mountain biking: a torque of 42Nm to overcome your first slopes. a wheel axle of 150x12mm to stand up to rough terrain. watertight bearings to withstand environmental conditions which can sometimes be tough.

A Battery With Lg Cells: Our battery is equipped with LG, LGC-MG1 cells, renowned for their high level of reliability and safety.

A battery that's easy to lock: Our Rockrider mountain bike team has designed a battery that locks in place with a simple lever. Child's play!. This locking system prevents the battery vibrating when riding on rough terrain.

There is also a lock in case you want to stop your battery getting stolen. such as when parking your bike on the street.

A simple, ergonomic control screen: There is an LCD screen just next to your left grip.

You don't need to let go of your handlebar to choose between the 4 assistance modes: Disabled, Economic, Standard and Boost + walking mode.

A torque sensor for natural pedalling, even on difficult terrain: Wondering how to conveniently control your speed, particularly on technically difficult terrain?. Our Rockrider mountain bike team has included a torque sensor on the bottom bracket of the E-ST 500.

This will allow you to control the level of electrical assistance in the simplest way possible: by pedalling!.

Press harder on the pedal, and you'll accelerate; press less, and you'll slow down!.

4 assistance modes for any situation: Mode 0 - Deactivated. The battery is not used.

Mode 1 - Economy: Extend your rides by preserving the battery. Ideal for keeping up with other riders without assistance who are in better shape.

Mode 2 - Standard: This is the most versatile mode.

Climb any slope without getting too tired and without using too much power.

Mode 3 - Boost: Overcome the insurmountable! Note: Using this mode for an extended time will reduce the length of your ride.

Walking Mode: To make up for the bike's weight, you can use the walking mode to easily push the bike along.

Front Hydraulic Suspension To Maintain Control And Absorb Bumps From Rough Terrain: Calmly overcome new obstacles (roots, rocks, gravel, etc.) thanks to the 120mm of travel in the Suntour XCR fork. Our Rockrider mountain bike team worked with Suntour to design a superior lubrication and wiper seal for this electrically-assisted mountain bike. This ensures the fork stays sensitive over time.

Single Chainring Drivetrain, Simple To Use And Designed To Meet The Demands Of Electric Mountain Biking. To prevent the chain coming off, the E-ST500 electric bike has a single SRAM NX chainguard with X-Sync technology. Made from steel for greater durability.

An end to confusion: simply change between the 9 speeds using the single shifter on the right handlebar.

27.5" Wide Double-Walled Wheels: These aero trail wheels have been specially designed for mountain biking: 23 mm rims for improved durability and good grip on wide tyres. a rear wheel with 36 oversized spokes to resist the torque of the motor.

Hutchinson Taipan 2.4" Tyres For Better Grip: So you feel safe on any terrain and for traction adapted to your motor, the E-ST500 mountain bike is equipped with Hutchinson 27.5" x 2.4 tyres (TAIPAN).

Our test riders particularly liked these tyres for their grip on the ground. Mounted on wide rims, these tyres ensure grip, traction, and comfort on all terrain and in any weather conditions.

180mm double disc brakes: Get A Grip On Your Braking.

No matter the conditions you ride in, (dry, muddy, wet), the Hayes MX5 cable-operated disc brakes on the front and rear provide powerful, progressive braking. Oversized 180mm diameter discs provide even more power. The Tektro aluminium brake levers are easy to grip, lightweight, and precise.

Handlebar, Stem, Grips: Take control with ergonomics designed for women!. With its adjustable stem, the E-ST500 controls are close at hand.

The 60mm B'Twin stem is entirely made from aluminium and designed for women's bodies as it can be raised to 5 marked levels: + 0 mm, + 7.5 mm, + 15 mm, + 22.5 mm, + 30 mm (turn the spacer upside down).

In detail: 680mm-wide oversized aluminium handlebars to adapt to the width of women's shoulders. Soft touch B'Twin sport grips for good grip and a comfortable feel.

Saddle: A comfortable sporty seat, specially designed for women.

The 31.6 mm aluminium seat post ensures compatibility with most adjustable and suspended seat posts on the market.

Platform Pedals: The bike comes with 520 Grip MTB platform pedals (ref. 8487130) with a wider pedalling surface and more pronounced dots for better grip on the pedal.

However, if you are looking for improved performance when pedalling and better control of the bike when cycling, we recommend replacing them with clipless pedals with platforms or wide aluminium platform pedals.

B'Twin Bikes

B'Twin are a popular choice of bike in the UK, partly due to their widespread distribution by Decathlon, and partly due to the value they offer. Their bikes are divided into several slightly overlapping ranges, with Triban best known for road and gravel bikes, and Rockrider gaining a reputation for high performing MTBs to suit every budget. Elops largely consist of a range of city bikes, whereas Riverside focus on hybrids. All in all, B'Twin bikes are well worth checking out given the size of their ranges; there's a model to suit most budgets.

Rockrider Mountain Bikes

Rockrider are Decathlon's off-road offerings, comprising of a series of kids bikes and adult hardtails, full suspension steeds and even a handful of high end E-MTBs.

This brand was launched in 2018, when Decathlon decided to split their B'Twin bikes into different genres. In terms of prices, there's something for everyone, with adult's MTBs starting at just over £200 and rising up to high end lightweight race bikes at nearly the £4000 mark.
