Rapid and confident bike over mild to extreme terrain. The Fourstroke is just as at home on the trail as it is on the race course. It just likes to cover ground as effectively as possible.

The Fourstroke has now made the move to 29" wheels. The extra speed, traction and trail-smoothing capability that comes from larger wheels mates extremely well with what the Fourstroke is all about. 100mm of frame travel is handled by BMC's own APS suspension design.

The APS is a well-liked design among those in the know. Reviewers are always impressed by its performance. Its pivot placings keep high levels of rider responsiveness and bump soaking ability.

It's a very discreet suspension action that just lets you get on with riding. The APS system is also refreshingly simple to setup and adjust. There's a built-in sag indicator on the upper rocker linkage that has two lines that align when the suspension sag (or pressure in other words) is correct.

The bike's overall geometry is based on BMC's Big Wheel Concept (BWC). Essentially this means the Fourstroke has a long top tube, slack head angle and wide handlebars. Finished off with short chain stays, a low bottom bracket height and a short stem all makes for a confident handling bike over all terrain, from mild to extreme.
