Water drops bead on the surface before they can soak in while the inner fleece traps in body heat, and quite importantly, allows for optimal breathability so you don't get overwhelmed with cold sweat.

A high collar provides a close seal keeping out cold wind from the chest and an extended dropped back keeps road spray off so you don't get a soggy behind. With reflective piping across the rear pockets, you'll also have greater visibility to motorists when training in low light and darkness.
