This is, in large, due to the use of asymmetrical chainstays and tapered seat stays. The massive bottom bracket area allowed the designer to increase the stay size to improve pedal stroke efficiency by balancing the chain integrated torque. The asymmetrical stays are complimented by the tapered seat stays that ensure stiffness and efficiency near the seat tube and allow maximum absorption of vertical stresses at the dropouts. The frame has continued to be developed with the pairing of an integrated fork that improves the model's aerodynamic profile whilst increasing the torsional stiffness due to the way it is positioned with respects to the down tube. The new lower position tube, integrates seamlessly with the fork crown, generating an aerodynamic profile, which is able to further reduce air resistance. Chorus Drivetrain The Campagnolo Chorus drivetrain represents the perfect solution for the sophisticated cyclist searching for Super Record performance at a more competitive price. Fitting a Campagnolo drivetrain to their bike has always been the ambition of many keen cyclists. The introduction of the new mechanical groupsets and the resulting incredible technical performance and aesthetic innovation only serve to increase this desire.. The new Chorus groupset is the optimum choice for those wanting the best results that a mechanical groupset can offer, combined with appeal and Italian design at the best price possible. Zonda Wheelset Campagnolo's Zonda Wheelset is universally lauded and has recently upgraded its performance values. Sporting a wider, 22.5mm, rim accepts a larger clincher tyre allowing the GTR SL to run 28mm if gravel riding is its chosen purpose. The wider rim creates a greater tyre/rim interface giving better aerodynamic properties, reduced rolling resistance and increased ride comfort. Featuring dynamic balance and G3 geometry the Zonda is to be highly respected. Dynamic balance is a simple and elegant concept that balances the weight of the valve stem on the opposite side meaning perfectly balanced rotational dynamics. G3 geometry improves energy transfer, reducing the stress on spokes and increasing transverse rigidity whilst reducing wheel vibrations to give responsive and durable wheelset. FSA Finishing Kit FSA offer up the finishing kit with the Energy range which provides great performance and value.
Road Bike Deals
I originally found this deal at Wiggle, who are widely established as one of the biggest cycle retailers in the UK. The first incarnation of this giant was as a small bike shop based in Portsmouth, named Butler Cycles. A few years later this evolved into Bikes @ Butlers to highlight their intentions to move the business online with the .com boom and subsequent rise in online sales. At the end of May in 1999 Wiggle.co.uk was launched by Mitch Dall and Harvey Jones. A rapid growth resulted in a need to move premises, and so in 2002 it relocated to Jackson Close, Portsmouth. This strong growth continued, and Wiggle has relocated twice since, the first being to Lakeside 1000, and then leaving Pompey altogether for a huge warehouse located centrally in Wolverhampton. Similarly to CRC, Wiggle stock many own brands, such as dhb, Eastway, Lifeline and Verenti, as well as bike, components and clothing from all of the leading manufacturers. Despite it's origins as a bike shop, Wiggle continue to stock equipment and apparel for not just road cycling and mountain biking, with extensive product lines for other disciplines such as triathlon kit, children's and commuters products and also running clothing and accessories. Prompt in delivery, and offering efficient returns and competitive pricing, Wiggle remain a firm favourite amongst serious and recreational cyclists alike, not least because of the customary bags of Haribo they include free with orders to keep their customers sweet!
