2016 Men's Sportful R & D Light Long Sleeve Jacket
This R&D Light jacket from Sportful shares many of the features of the super cosy R&D Zero winter jacket, but is designed for moderate temperatures and higher intensity rides. This jacket features highly breathable, wicking fabric only where you need it. The R&D jacket is still a serious winter jacket but designed for those of you who ride in more forgiving climates or at a fast pace where body heat is built up rapidly. Strategically placed wind protection and Polartec (R) Alpha (R) insulation combined with extremely breathable inserts will keep you warm but eliminate sweat and excess heat when needed. A drop down tail offers extra spray protection but can be folded away when not needed. WindWick LT Fabric: Lightweight stretch fabric that offers great wind resistance, light water and snow repellency, and excellent breathability. Unlike traditional coated or membrane fabrics, it allows for increased air circulation for accelerated moisture transfer. DualFit Fabric: This fabric is characterised by the extreme rapidity with which it wicks moisture away from the skin, thanks to its dual-layer structure: polyester on the inside and nylon outside. Sportful began life in 1972 in Asolo Italy, when Giordano Cremonese took advantage of his family's background in textiles and began making his own ski wear. The garments were based upon his own designs, and were labelled with the Sportful logo; they quickly gained attention from fellow skiers, and consequently in 1973 the company began trading. Having developed a reputation for creating performance skiwear, in 1985 Sportful moved into the cycling sector, initially sponsoring the Ceramiche Ariostea, Maglificio Bianchi and Mapei trade teams, and later the Italian National team, to great success. To this day Sportful still produce high end road cycling clothing, which is highly regarded by professionals and keen amateurs alike. About Chain Reaction Cycles
This product is for sale at Chain Reaction Cycles, one of the largest online cycle shops in the world. Opening in 1985, and starting off as a small independent bike shop in Ballynure, it moved to Ballyclare in 1989 and is now based in Doagh (all in Northern Ireland). In addition to regular local service, Chain Reaction Cycles (or CRC as it is often abbreviated to) established itself as a mail order business via advertisements in bicycle magazines; this continued until 1999 where it launched it's now famous website at ChainReactionCycles.com. Their blue themed website stocks around 90,000 products ranging from MTB & Road cycling equipment, to triathlon, BMX and running kit. As per several other leading bike shops, Chain Reaction produce their own product ranges, under brands such as Brand X. To this day CRC sponsor many cycling events, and due to the company's size and efficiency are able to offer very competitive pricing on cycle equipment. In 2016 Wiggle acquired Chain Reaction Cycles, although the two websites continue to operate independently of each other, both with their own distinctive branding and product ranges.
