By applying FE Analysis to the standard Purgatory tread, the Control has been optimised so every single knobs gives its all out on the trail without negatively affecting rolling resistance.

A tough 60 TPI casing offers 15% improved cut-resistance over the race light S-Works model and is combined with tough rubber compounds to withstand daily riding over rock and roots.

The folding bead of the Purgatory Control has been wrapped in Butyl to provide an air-tight fit on compatible wheels allowing the tyre to be ran tubeless at lower pressure for even more control and traction. 2Bliss Ready: can be used with inner tubes or set up tubeless. It's not your standard tube type (TT), which is lightweight, but can fall short on puncture resistance and ''burps'' when used with sealant. And it's not your standard tubeless (UST) that reduces pinch flats and the need for sealant, but often adds 200+ grams.

2Bliss is a whole new design that uses TT casing with a special UST bead, replacing the standard UST heavy backing with strategically placed rubber only around the bead.

The result is a perfect tire for the discerning MTB rider: low pressure allowance, no burping and fewer grams than its forefathers.
