Shimano Deore XT M8000 11sp Single Chainset
Shimano XT M8000 11 Speed Single MTB Chainset provides a lightweight yet stiff construction with a single chainring up front. This is the single version of the m8000 chainset - meaning it features a single chainring, unlike the double and triple models which have 2 and 3 chainrings respectively - for those who would prefer those options instead. The Shimano Deore XT single chainset uses an 11 speed Dyna-Sys chainring for excellent durability and performance during your MTB ride. This XT chainset comes in three crank length options. The Forged HollowTech II aluminium cranks offer Shimano's unrivalled strength-to-weight ratio the m8000 single crankset offers lightweight construction with external super smooth bottom bracket bearings for efficient use Steel inner ring combined with a thicker alloy and carbon composite Hollow outer ring for excellent rigidity and durability Close ratio gear combination for minimum shifting gap provides improved cadence while reducing pedal feedback on suspension bikes. Stiffness and strength increased with advanced design due to wider spaced bearings and oversized axle 70 degree spider arm for optimal rigidity For use with 11-speed Shimano HG-X MTB chains only Shimano strongly recommend that this bottom bracket is initially installed by a bike shop to ensure perfect bottom bracket facing and fit for optimum MTB performance

Shimano are a Japanese manufacturer primarily known for their cycling components, and to a lesser extent shoes and clothing. Founded in 1921, Shimano is widely believed to be the largest cycling component manufacturer in the world, having reached this status through a combination of innovation, reliability and value for money. Whatever your style of riding, whether it be road or MTB, Shimano will have a component range to suit your level and budget, from the low end Alivio and Tiagra to the professional standard XTR and Dura-Ace. Over the years, Shimano have revolutionised bicycle gear, brake and pedal systems, such as the recessed SPD, Hollowtech crank arms and smooth shifting Hyperglide sprockets. Initially their component range faced competition from Suntour, whereas nowadays their primary rivals for market share are SRAM and Campagnolo.
