Oakley Glasses

Oakley are one of the world's most iconic sports brands, primarily associated with their legendary sunglasses ranges, but also known for sports apparel such as clothing and bags. Founded in 1975 by James Jannard (with just $300 in his back pocket), the company was born - named after his dog Oakley Ann. Their first product was a set of motorcycles grips, manufactured using the trademarked Unobtanium material. Quickly expanding, Jannard increased Oakley's range to include number plates, elbow guards, gloves and then goggles. This was the first set of eyewear by the company, christened the O-Frame, and featuring a prominent Oakley logo on the strapping. Their first actual sunglasses were the 1984 sports related Factory Pilot Eyeshades, which were followed in 1985 by the casual Frogskin. To this day, Oakley supply many of the world's top cyclists, with their products aimed at the high-end of the market in both casual and sports eyewear.

About Wiggle

I originally found this deal at Wiggle, who are widely established as one of the biggest cycle retailers in the UK. The first incarnation of this giant was as a small bike shop based in Portsmouth, named Butler Cycles. A few years later this evolved into Bikes @ Butlers to highlight their intentions to move the business online with the .com boom and subsequent rise in online sales. At the end of May in 1999 Wiggle.co.uk was launched by Mitch Dall and Harvey Jones. A rapid growth resulted in a need to move premises, and so in 2002 it relocated to Jackson Close, Portsmouth. This strong growth continued, and Wiggle has relocated twice since, the first being to Lakeside 1000, and then leaving Pompey altogether for a huge warehouse located centrally in Wolverhampton. Similarly to CRC, Wiggle stock many own brands, such as dhb, Eastway, Lifeline and Verenti, as well as bike, components and clothing from all of the leading manufacturers. Despite it's origins as a bike shop, Wiggle continue to stock equipment and apparel for not just road cycling and mountain biking, with extensive product lines for other disciplines such as triathlon kit, children's and commuters products and also running clothing and accessories. Prompt in delivery, and offering efficient returns and competitive pricing, Wiggle remain a firm favourite amongst serious and recreational cyclists alike, not least because of the customary bags of Haribo they include free with orders to keep their customers sweet!
