2016 NS Bikes Snabb Enduro 650b Aluminium Full Sus MTB Frame
Impressing the public with gimmicks, patents and systems was not on the list.
The Fuzz DH frame that has proven itself on racetracks around the world inspires many elements on the Snabb, including the suspension characteristics.
NS have managed to build in a good amount of anti-squat into the horst-link design and at the same time achieved the desired suspension curves. The geometry is modern, low, long and slack. NS took into account that their customers are usually tough, aggressive riders that expect their bike to hold up to seasons of abuse.
At the same time they made sure that everyone, including their team riders would be happy with the performance on race day. It comes with a slack 66 degrees head angle and slightly longer chainstays to help keep the bike stable at higher descending speeds and is designed to be used with a 160-170mm fork. It can easily be classified as a mini DH rig.
This frame is perfect for 1X drivetrains, which tend to produce more squatting than traditional 2X setups. The suspension curves make for a fantastic ride that gives a feeling of support but at the same time allows a full range of travel to be used. The 4-bar Horst link suspension has a significant amount of rearward axle movement, which helps to absorb square faced bumps.
The system, unlike most other designs on the market (including virtual pivot designs) it is immune to brake jack (i.e. the torque generated by the brakes will not cause the suspension to stiffen).
