MET Parachute MTB Helmet 2017
MET Parachute Helmet
MET's Parachute Helmet is the lightest ASTM certified full-face helmet in the world and offers the best level of safety in its class. Parachute is the trailblazer for a category of helmets purpose-built for Enduro racing. MET's Parachute combines the protection of a full-face helmet with low weight, high ventilation and comfort. ASTM Standard Chin Guard Riders purchase a full-face helmet to have more protection to their face, so it's important to know if the chin guard has been stringently tested and passes the ASTM standard. The fact that this helmet is ASTM certified gives confidence to riders that MET's Parachute Riding Helmet has been designed and certified to provide the best level of safety in its class. The Parachute's non-removable chin guard is integrated into the helmet and thanks to its construction; it's the only chin guard of its kind that exceeds ASTM testing. This technology and highly innovative design create a solid, compact and highly-ventilated chin guard. Lightweight and comfortable The Parachute is the ideal helmet for Enduro racing: weighing only 700g (med), it's extremely lightweight and very well ventilated, making this helmet comfortable to wear on climbs and safe on descents. MET's top of the line fit system is Safe-T Advanced which provides the lightweight Parachute Enduro Helmet with the best weight/comfort ratio possible. The contact points have a larger cradle surface increasing comfort whilst they are also designed to keep the helmet lightweight and allow perspiration at the back of the head. The polyurethane soft padding improves the fitting, thus affording a snug head touch. Other than being lightweight, Enduro helmets need to be breathable and comfortable, that's why, along with Safe-T Advanced, the Parachute Helmet also features Kevlar Straps and Coolmax internal padding with Dualgel front pad to keep your head cool and actively wick moisture away from the surface of your skin. Dualgel pads also have a longer life than traditional pads and are hypo-allergenic and antibacterial, maintaining a neutral odour. Adjustable Visor and Goggle Compatible The visor's role is to protect the face especially the eyes from branches, the sun and mud. You can fine tune your field of vision by adjusting the anodised aluminium side screws. The visor can easily be adjusted to provide plenty of space to stow your goggles. The Parachute Helmet is goggle compatible; a clip system on the back of the helmet keeps your goggle strap in place MOPOV Camera Mount MOPOV (My Own Point Of View) is a multi-brand compatible camera mount system that MET engineers developed to securely mount an action camera onto the helmet without damaging the helmet's shell. About Chain Reaction Cycles
This product is for sale at Chain Reaction Cycles, one of the largest online cycle shops in the world. Opening in 1985, and starting off as a small independent bike shop in Ballynure, it moved to Ballyclare in 1989 and is now based in Doagh (all in Northern Ireland). In addition to regular local service, Chain Reaction Cycles (or CRC as it is often abbreviated to) established itself as a mail order business via advertisements in bicycle magazines; this continued until 1999 where it launched it's now famous website at ChainReactionCycles.com. Their blue themed website stocks around 90,000 products ranging from MTB & Road cycling equipment, to triathlon, BMX and running kit. As per several other leading bike shops, Chain Reaction produce their own product ranges, under brands such as Brand X. To this day CRC sponsor many cycling events, and due to the company's size and efficiency are able to offer very competitive pricing on cycle equipment. In 2016 Wiggle acquired Chain Reaction Cycles, although the two websites continue to operate independently of each other, both with their own distinctive branding and product ranges.
