MET Parabellum MTB Helmet
MET Parabellum Helmet The top of the range all MTN helmet Parabellum is a masterful blend of technology and dynamic protection. The Parabellum's shape offers excellent head coverage for such a featherweight. It is the fusion of the two homothetic shells (HES construction) which enables a weight/volume/shock-absorption capacity ratio which would have been unthinkable before. If one then adds the very latest version of the occipital retention system, Safe-T Smart Advanced, a removable helmet cam mount, GEL 02 technology used for the front pad and the visor adjusted by an aluminium ratchet system, you find yourself with the new benchmark for all-mountain helmets. Features:In-Mould Intelligent Fusion Construction: Exclusive technology developed by engineers in our Research and Development laboratory. Inmould construction involves fusing together in the same matrix the two parts of the helmet shell (the interior which is generally black or grey polystyrene and the coloured polycarbonate exterior) during the moulding process. This construction technique provides better shock absorption results than the Twin-Shell at equivalent volume and material density. Thanks to the In-mould Intelligent Fusion process, MET goes even further by using different densities of material depending on the characteristics of each model to improve the weight/volume ratio while optimising the shock absorption capacity. HES Construction: Homothetic Embedded Skeleton. In the event of an impact the pressure on the helmet shell is uneven, however, in reality most of the pressure is concentrated within a limited area. HES construction, which involves embedding a homothetic skeleton at the back of the helmet, spreads the pressure built up by compression at the impact point, and thus dissipates the force of impact over the whole shell. This exceptional design and a manufacturing technique, that today only MET has mastered, makes the HES concept a new reference in cycle helmet construction. Full Wrap: The polycarbonate shell wraps the bottom of the helmet towards the inside of the shell. Adjustable visor with integrated air intake vents: The visor's role is to protect the face and especially the eyes from branches, sun or, in bad weather, against mud flicked up by bikes in front. When the visor has air vents it actively helps cool the head by directing the air towards the inside of the helmet. The tilt of the visor can be adjusted by loosening anodised aluminium side screws. This allows you to fine tune your field of view. Note that at the highest position the visor leaves enough space for your goggles strap in 'rest' position. Safe-T Advanced: Our top of the range retention system provides the best weight and comfort ratio. 25% lighter than the Safe-T Smart, the Safe-T Advanced is welded which helps to reduce the weight. The contact points have increased comfort with a larger cradle surface area which is also designed to aid ventilation at the back of the head. The micro adjust dial offers very precise movements with 2mm per click for horizontal adjustment. The vertical adjustment offers 4 steps for the perfect fit. As standard on all of our helmets, the retention features a full 360 degrees retention ring which fits around the head bringing unparalleled comfort with a very secure fit. Straps/Dividers: Breathability and comfort are extremely important, the Airlite straps and dividers are 15% lighter than a standard helmet strap, they are also more aerodynamic than a standard strap/divider combination. Padding: Gel 02 anti-allergenic front pad. Exclusive technology developed by engineers in our Research and Development laboratory. Instead of absorbing perspiration it sends it towards the sides of the face. With superior hygiene, a much longer lifespan, a natural capacity to adapt to body shape, its thickness remaining stable over time... the GEL O2 front pad offers so many advantages that it will permanently change your idea of helmet comfort. Originating from the medical industry, it is hypo-allergenic, anti-bacterial, made from thermo-stabilising polyurethane morpho-gel, and it helps keeps the head really cool, a key factor not only for comfort but also for the cyclist's performance. Hand washable. Coolmax(TM) anti-allergenic interior pads. The high-tech material assures rapid evaporation of absorbed perspiration for greater comfort. Hand washable. MOPOV video support kit (included): Exclusive technology developed by engineers in our Research and Development laboratory. Now anyone can film themselves while riding. And to help you we have designed the MOPOV (My Own Point Of View) kit which allows you to fit your on board camera onto your helmet in a flash. Removable kit fitted to the centre of helmet. An Allen key is all you need to fit the kit. Light weight. System suitable for multibrands. Nothing remains on the helmet after use. The self-adhesive fitting on your camera fixes to / the MOPOV and not to the helmet itself. Weight: 285g (M), 320g (L)

About Chain Reaction Cycles
This product is for sale at Chain Reaction Cycles, one of the largest online cycle shops in the world. Opening in 1985, and starting off as a small independent bike shop in Ballynure, it moved to Ballyclare in 1989 and is now based in Doagh (all in Northern Ireland). In addition to regular local service, Chain Reaction Cycles (or CRC as it is often abbreviated to) established itself as a mail order business via advertisements in bicycle magazines; this continued until 1999 where it launched it's now famous website at ChainReactionCycles.com. Their blue themed website stocks around 90,000 products ranging from MTB & Road cycling equipment, to triathlon, BMX and running kit. As per several other leading bike shops, Chain Reaction produce their own product ranges, under brands such as Brand X. To this day CRC sponsor many cycling events, and due to the company's size and efficiency are able to offer very competitive pricing on cycle equipment. In 2016 Wiggle acquired Chain Reaction Cycles, although the two websites continue to operate independently of each other, both with their own distinctive branding and product ranges.
