The challenge facing Magura’s development department in Germany was clear and concise: to build the world’s fastest brake for the road. It had to be extremely light, provide greater braking power than any other road bike brake before it, yet still be capable of exact and smooth control. It also sets new standards in terms of aerodynamics. In order to trump here, Magura brought on board the Canadian bike manufacturer, Cervélo, for its exceptional expertise in aerodynamics. After more than one and a half-years of intense development, Magura have now created the braking revolution for road bikes, Magura presents the RT8 C, the supplied Convertor will allow you to use all major Shimano STI, SRAM and Campagnolo Ergopower cable operated levers and convert this into a hydraulic system allowing you to use your favourite STI levers. Features: Weight: Approx 481g Colour: Black-Red with Red-White Print Technical features: Full hydraulic, rim brake Hydraulic system: Closed system without reservoir Transmission medium: MAGURA-Blood mineral oil Brake lever: Carbotecture converter body Caliper mount: Central bolt MAGURA has always been a pioneer of hydraulic brakes for bikes producing the first widely accepted stoppers as early as 1987. The knowledge gained from over 60 years of experience developing brakes for BMW motorcycles made the technology transfer possible.
