Look Keo Flex 2 Road Cycling Pedals
Look Keo Flex 2 Pedals
The Keo standard has been developed with the aim of reducing the weight and bulk of the cleat / pedal assembly while maintaining compatibility with all cycling shoes on the market. Features a large platform surface which is easy to clip in and clip out while providing a high degree of security. Keo Flex 2 is the only one-piece clipless pedal combining the body and the lever into a single unit. This major patented LOOK innovation has enabled us to design a pedal which is very easy to use and secure. Keo Flex is ideal for beginners wishing to buy their first clipless pedals. With this new springless concept we have created new clip-in and clip-out sensations.Keo Flex 2 is fitted with a lever stop that backs up the lever by stopping its rearward travel. Clipping out is operated by flexing of the two outer clips on the Keo Flex lever. The centre lever holds the cleat while pedalling and makes clipping in easier. A tension level of 8 is equally suitable for those new to clipless and for leisure use. The Keo Flex spindle system was designed specifically for this pedal. It consists of a single ball bearing (12mm ID x 21mm OD) and a bush. LOOK spindles are only approved after a rotational test of 1 million cycles at 100 rpm with a load of 90kg on the centre of the pedal and eccentric rotation (which replicates a bump at each revolution). This test far exceeds the current standard: EN14781. About Chain Reaction Cycles
This product is for sale at Chain Reaction Cycles, one of the largest online cycle shops in the world. Opening in 1985, and starting off as a small independent bike shop in Ballynure, it moved to Ballyclare in 1989 and is now based in Doagh (all in Northern Ireland). In addition to regular local service, Chain Reaction Cycles (or CRC as it is often abbreviated to) established itself as a mail order business via advertisements in bicycle magazines; this continued until 1999 where it launched it's now famous website at ChainReactionCycles.com. Their blue themed website stocks around 90,000 products ranging from MTB & Road cycling equipment, to triathlon, BMX and running kit. As per several other leading bike shops, Chain Reaction produce their own product ranges, under brands such as Brand X. To this day CRC sponsor many cycling events, and due to the company's size and efficiency are able to offer very competitive pricing on cycle equipment. In 2016 Wiggle acquired Chain Reaction Cycles, although the two websites continue to operate independently of each other, both with their own distinctive branding and product ranges.
