FSA Afterburner 386 BB30 Chainset

The 386 technology represents the state-of-the-art for mountain bikers seeking light weight, dual-chainring setups.

386 cranksets are characterized by their 3 bolts and 86mm Bolt Circle Diameter.

The smaller 86mm diameter bolt circle allows for a wide range of chainring options, including mounting of down to a 27 tooth inner chainring. Further advantages are an increased stiffness at a lowered total weight. FSA's BB30 bottom bracket technology is lighter, narrower, stiffer and more durable than traditional bottom bracket systems.

Oversized alloy spindles and bearings pressed directly into the bottom bracket shell offer weight savings up to 12%. In combination with a crankset for the BB30 bottom bracket new standards for stiffness to weight ratio will be reached.

Advantages of the system are: lighter, stiffer, low Q-factor (narrower cranks, increasing ankle clearance), more durable because of significantly larger bearings and the use of ceramic bearings results in longer bearing life.

The Afterburner Compact Double 386 BB30 aluminium crank is super-stiff and equipped with patented hollow forged 6061 T6 aluminium crank arms and integrated 30mm splined aluminium bottom bracket axle. Featured by 100% cnc machined chainrings made of 7075 aluminium. Ramped and pinned outer chainring for perfect shifting.

With aluminium Torx T30 chainring bolts. Q-Factor 170mm, chainline 49.5mm.
