Both models shares the same carbon fork with the befit of lightweight and carbons road vibration dampening properties. The AL is for aluminium, our choice of frame material. Aluminium keeps the price down and still offers a lightweight option Shimano 105 Drivetrain Light action Vivid Shifting is just one of many features taken from Shimano's top end groupsets, making the 105 11 speed 5800 groupset a performance option for the masses. The shifters and derailleurs incorporate Shimano's Vivid Shift technology, with a light but positive feel all the way through the 11 speed drivetrain, giving you the gear you want, when you want it, with the minimum of effort. With its two piece hollow axle design, the Shimano Hollowtech II chainset is both stiffer and lighter than a square taper chainset. Using a Pressfit bottom bracket shell also provides increased stiffness and bearing life over standard cartridge units. With 52-36 compact gearing, you can tackle even the steepest climbs with confidence. Shimano Hydraulic Disc Brakes Using the all new Shimano BR505 dropbar hydraulic disc brakes give the Zener the stopping power it needs down the hills. The dual piston caliper ensures even brake wear and a greater performance. Its index shifting mechanism offers the 11 speed drivetrain an economical brake/gear lever but a smooth and elegant gear change. DT Swiss R24 wheelset Using a lightwieght double walled rim laced to a pair of CNC machined sealed bearing hubs gives the perfect balance with stiffness and weight. Finishing the wheels off is a pair of Continental Ultrasport tyres in 28c giving you maximium grip as you lean into the corners. Ritchey/Fizik Finishing Kit Finishing the Zener off is a set of bars, stem and seatpost from Ritchey in black. Light weight, strong and reliable is the only way to describe this kit. Topping it off Eastway have supplied a custom colourway Fizik Aliante saddle and Lizard Skin bartape offering maximum comfort.
Road Bike Deals
I originally found this deal at Wiggle, who are widely established as one of the biggest cycle retailers in the UK. The first incarnation of this giant was as a small bike shop based in Portsmouth, named Butler Cycles. A few years later this evolved into Bikes @ Butlers to highlight their intentions to move the business online with the .com boom and subsequent rise in online sales. At the end of May in 1999 Wiggle.co.uk was launched by Mitch Dall and Harvey Jones. A rapid growth resulted in a need to move premises, and so in 2002 it relocated to Jackson Close, Portsmouth. This strong growth continued, and Wiggle has relocated twice since, the first being to Lakeside 1000, and then leaving Pompey altogether for a huge warehouse located centrally in Wolverhampton. Similarly to CRC, Wiggle stock many own brands, such as dhb, Eastway, Lifeline and Verenti, as well as bike, components and clothing from all of the leading manufacturers. Despite it's origins as a bike shop, Wiggle continue to stock equipment and apparel for not just road cycling and mountain biking, with extensive product lines for other disciplines such as triathlon kit, children's and commuters products and also running clothing and accessories. Prompt in delivery, and offering efficient returns and competitive pricing, Wiggle remain a firm favourite amongst serious and recreational cyclists alike, not least because of the customary bags of Haribo they include free with orders to keep their customers sweet!
