Easton Haven 29 inch Front Wheel
UD matte carbon rim Armoured ballistic composite Built to last Haven Carbon is a virtually indestructible wheel set designed for rugged conditions All Mountain riding. Mount these wheels on your favourite six-inch travel bike, ride them hard, case some jumps and hit some rocks. If anything ever goes wrong, rest easy knowing that Easton backs these industry-leading wheels with an equally impressive warranty-two-years, no-questions-asked. We started with Easton's proprietary Armoured Ballistic Composite, a material similar to the stuff used in ultra-light body armour and other military applications. (It turns out that the stresses of mountain biking aren't too different from the ballistic impacts seen in combat.) Constructing a rim from this advanced composite significantly boosts durability and makes the Haven Carbon very resilient to impacts with rocks and other trail debris. Other highlights include UST tubeless compatibility and a generous 21-millimeter inner rim width that easily accommodates large-volume trail tires. Additionally, this wheel set is available in every axle configuration-ensuring that any All Mountain rider or super D racer can enjoy the Haven Carbon. All these features, and still, weight is an astonishingly light 1,590-grams per pair. Like all Easton wheels, the Haven Carbon is built by hand using Easton's proprietary acoustic tensioning and truing method.
My latest cycling wheels
Easton Cycling began in 1984, and are principally known for producing ranges of performance finishing kit, such as chainsets, handlebars, stems, seatposts and wheels for Road Cycling and Mountain Biking. The original Easton company started life back in 1922, creating a range of bow and arrows! They diversified into skiing in 1964, and cycling approximately two decades later. Not every range has succeeded however, with their 1986 bike range not translating into sales, and consequently being abandoned 4 years later in 1990. The majority of their more affordable cycling components are produced from alloy, with their more expensive offerings sculpted from lightweight carbon fibre. Their impressive results back up these products, with professional victories in the Tour De France and DH World Championships.

I originally found this deal at Wiggle, who are widely established as one of the biggest cycle retailers in the UK. The first incarnation of this giant was as a small bike shop based in Portsmouth, named Butler Cycles. A few years later this evolved into Bikes @ Butlers to highlight their intentions to move the business online with the .com boom and subsequent rise in online sales. At the end of May in 1999 Wiggle.co.uk was launched by Mitch Dall and Harvey Jones. A rapid growth resulted in a need to move premises, and so in 2002 it relocated to Jackson Close, Portsmouth. This strong growth continued, and Wiggle has relocated twice since, the first being to Lakeside 1000, and then leaving Pompey altogether for a huge warehouse located centrally in Wolverhampton. Similarly to CRC, Wiggle stock many own brands, such as dhb, Eastway, Lifeline and Verenti, as well as bike, components and clothing from all of the leading manufacturers. Despite it's origins as a bike shop, Wiggle continue to stock equipment and apparel for not just road cycling and mountain biking, with extensive product lines for other disciplines such as triathlon kit, children's and commuters products and also running clothing and accessories. Prompt in delivery, and offering efficient returns and competitive pricing, Wiggle remain a firm favourite amongst serious and recreational cyclists alike, not least because of the customary bags of Haribo they include free with orders to keep their customers sweet!
