De Rosa lauched this frame in 2011 and Its success is due to its aeroelastic performance that provides excellent results in terms of resistance to fatigue. The ''Merak'' project is based on carbon fibre that has been carefully selected to go with other composite materials to lead to the creation and use of a fibre mix in which their various features are combined, aimed at enhancing the mechanical characteristics and consequently the performance of the frame. More over the ''High Movement Inertial Taper'' steering tube makes it possible to use steering with 1.1/2 bearings and has a relative ''oversize'' fork designed for it.
