For riders with a flexible lower back, the pelvis remains in a more level stance in the cycling posture. The flat profile is designed to support weight though the sit bones in this position. A deep pressure relief channel with cut-out zone eliminates pressure on the softer tissue for extended comfort. The 140mm width has been tailored to accommodate the spacing of the sit bones with sufficient area to distribute pressure and offer comfort and stability. The shape quickly graduates to a narrow 40mm nose to eliminate interference with the inner thigh during the pedal stroke. Beneath the waterproof microfibre cover is a layer of high density EVA foam padding. This works in combination with the nylon fibre base to provide a firm, minimally cushioned platform with a small degree of flex. UD Carbon Rails COSINE UD Carbon Fibre rails are engineered to deliver a weight saving advantage with calibrated stiffness for vibration damping. COSINE seat rails also feature measurement markers. These help you adjust the fore/aft position of your saddle accurately to achieve an efficient and ergonomic pedalling stance.

I originally found this deal at Wiggle, who are widely established as one of the biggest cycle retailers in the UK. The first incarnation of this giant was as a small bike shop based in Portsmouth, named Butler Cycles. A few years later this evolved into Bikes @ Butlers to highlight their intentions to move the business online with the .com boom and subsequent rise in online sales. At the end of May in 1999 Wiggle.co.uk was launched by Mitch Dall and Harvey Jones. A rapid growth resulted in a need to move premises, and so in 2002 it relocated to Jackson Close, Portsmouth. This strong growth continued, and Wiggle has relocated twice since, the first being to Lakeside 1000, and then leaving Pompey altogether for a huge warehouse located centrally in Wolverhampton. Similarly to CRC, Wiggle stock many own brands, such as dhb, Eastway, Lifeline and Verenti, as well as bike, components and clothing from all of the leading manufacturers. Despite it's origins as a bike shop, Wiggle continue to stock equipment and apparel for not just road cycling and mountain biking, with extensive product lines for other disciplines such as triathlon kit, children's and commuters products and also running clothing and accessories. Prompt in delivery, and offering efficient returns and competitive pricing, Wiggle remain a firm favourite amongst serious and recreational cyclists alike, not least because of the customary bags of Haribo they include free with orders to keep their customers sweet!
