Castelli Team Sky Perfetto Light 2 Jersey
The Castelli Team Sky Perfetto Light 2 Jersey is the new game changer from Castelli. The Castelli Gabba needs no introduction - it has become the wet weather racing garment for the whole peloton and is an ideal jersey for typical British weather. However some team riders thought it was just a little too heavy. Enter the Castelli - Team Sky Perfetto Light 2 Jersey a new lighter more breathable jersey perfect for warmer wet days or cool dry summer days. The front is in windproof & water resistant Windstopper 150 fabric (this fabric is approx. 20% lighter than the stuff in the Gabba) and then the back is in Nano Light fabric (like Nano Flex but a tighter weave and without the fleece lining) this gives the jersey a better fit, superior breathability, similar wind protection and only slightly less water resistance, when compared to the Gabba 3. Think of the Castelli Team Sky Perfetto Light 2 Jersey as a garment you can wear on cool windy days or on warmer damp days its effectively a light weight race jersey and gilet combined in one piece. Gore Windstopper 150 fabric on front, sleeves and yoke for lightweight wind protection. Nano Light fabric on the back sheds water but allows significant breathability Construction Long tail with reflective trim Sleeve Length Short Sleeve Fastening YKK Vislon zipper for easy opening and closing Pockets 3 external rear pockets

Castelli has a rich history as one of the iconic cycling brands, primarily specialising in high end road clothing. Founded by Vittore Gianni in 1876, initially as a tailor shop in Milan, it diversified to include cycling clothing in 1910, for riders such as Alfredo Binda. In 1935 Armando Castelli joined the company, purchasing it 4 years later. Shortly afterwards it began supplying riders such as Gino Bartali and Fausto Coppi. By 1975, it was rebranded to Castelli, featuring the iconic scorpion logo, and shortly afterwards produced many revolutionary clothing products, such as the first lycra cycling shorts, windproof jerseys and thermal cycling clothing. To this day, the brand is synonymous with performance cycle wear, and together with Santini, they supply some of the greatest ex and current cyclists on the planet. I originally found this deal at Wiggle, who are widely established as one of the biggest cycle retailers in the UK. The first incarnation of this giant was as a small bike shop based in Portsmouth, named Butler Cycles. A few years later this evolved into Bikes @ Butlers to highlight their intentions to move the business online with the .com boom and subsequent rise in online sales. At the end of May in 1999 Wiggle.co.uk was launched by Mitch Dall and Harvey Jones. A rapid growth resulted in a need to move premises, and so in 2002 it relocated to Jackson Close, Portsmouth. This strong growth continued, and Wiggle has relocated twice since, the first being to Lakeside 1000, and then leaving Pompey altogether for a huge warehouse located centrally in Wolverhampton. Similarly to CRC, Wiggle stock many own brands, such as dhb, Eastway, Lifeline and Verenti, as well as bike, components and clothing from all of the leading manufacturers. Despite it's origins as a bike shop, Wiggle continue to stock equipment and apparel for not just road cycling and mountain biking, with extensive product lines for other disciplines such as triathlon kit, children's and commuters products and also running clothing and accessories. Prompt in delivery, and offering efficient returns and competitive pricing, Wiggle remain a firm favourite amongst serious and recreational cyclists alike, not least because of the customary bags of Haribo they include free with orders to keep their customers sweet!
