2017 Castelli Sorpasso 2 Bib Tights
The original Castelli Sorpasso cycling bib tights were widely recognised for their great fit and exceptional comfort even down to very low temperatures. The Sorpasso 2 brings with it all the benefits of the original with some additional elements to make comfort and performance even higher than the first generation bibtight. Thermoflex Core 2 fabric has been included over the thighs and back of legs for extra protection without any restriction to movement while a 3D band has been added to the lower back to give additional comfort and support which noticeably reduces fatigue over longer distances. Able to cope with a wide temperature range thanks to an inner layer of hollow core polyester these excellent bib tights will keep you warm and insulated but also allow for excess body heat and moisture to escape. The brilliantly comfortable Progetto 2 Air Seat Pad makes a welcome return after proving itself in the original Sorpasso, allowing you to be able to ride further, for longer while the YKK camlock ankle zips make putting on and securing the Sorpasso 2 bib tights quick and easy; finally, the addition of reflective zip covers brings an element of safety in low light conditions. Thermoflex Core 2 front and knees for extra warmth Thermoflex over thighs and back of legs for extra stretch 3D support band at lower back Flat bib straps for extra comfort Progetto X2 Air seat pad YKK Camlock zippered ankle openings with GIRO elastic Reflective zip covers Suitable for a temperature range of 5 - 12c

Castelli Bib Tights
Castelli has a rich history as one of the iconic cycling brands, primarily specialising in high end road clothing. Founded by Vittore Gianni in 1876, initially as a tailor shop in Milan, it diversified to include cycling clothing in 1910, for riders such as Alfredo Binda. In 1935 Armando Castelli joined the company, purchasing it 4 years later. Shortly afterwards it began supplying riders such as Gino Bartali and Fausto Coppi. By 1975, it was rebranded to Castelli, featuring the iconic scorpion logo, and shortly afterwards produced many revolutionary clothing products, such as the first lycra cycling shorts, windproof jerseys and thermal cycling clothing. To this day, the brand is synonymous with performance cycle wear, and together with Santini, they supply some of the greatest ex and current cyclists on the planet. About Merlin Cycles
This cycling deal was found at Merlin Cycles, one of the UK's most famous bike shops, located up North!
Merlin Cycles started life in 1993, founded by John Moss as a mail order Mountain Bike business ran directly from his spare bedroom in Chorley. Due to early growth, shortly afterwards he opened his first outlet in Ormskirk, and a few years later in 1998, the company grew into larger premises, moving to Leyland.
In the 1990's and early 2000's, Merlin were known for their ranges of mountain bike hardtails, released under the Rock Lobster and Merlin "Malt" brands. These steel and aluminium hardtails were designed in house, available as framesets or complete bikes, representing excellent value for money. The company was also well known for their handbuilt MTB wheels, which in my experience lasted for years without needing truing!
Merlin have always been competitive on pricing, particularly on suspension forks, brakes, wheels and groupsets, which continues to this day. Nowadays they have introduced road cycling equipment and clothing into their product ranges, due to the increase in popularity in this field, thus catering for a broader range of cyclists.
