After starting the aero jersey revolution in pro cycling, Castelli have continued to perfect this piece. While the 2015 Aero Race 5.0 Jersey represented the biggest leap forward in terms of race performance, the new Castelli Aero Race 5.1 Short Sleeve Jersey builds on the race-leading aerodynamics while making the jersey more comfortable and durable. Updated fabrics on the front and back showed a 2 watt gain in the wind tunnel. But it's not just aero; it's extremely light, coming in at just 103g. That's about 40g lighter than a standard jersey and almost as light as Castelli's Climber's Jersey. Just like you, their pro riders are looking for comfort, and the lightweight polyester fabrics in this jersey dry nearly instantly, making this the go-to choice even for cool- or wet-weather riding, while the compression band around the pockets keeps them from moving or bouncing no matter how you load them up. Velocity dimpled fabric on front and silicone gripper elastic Sleeve Length Short Sleeve Fastening Full length YKK Camlock zipper Pockets Compression band around waist keeps 3 rear pockets in place Reflectivity Reflective heat-transfer viz strips Ventilation 3D mesh on back to prevent overheating and mesh arm bands

Castelli has a rich history as one of the iconic cycling brands, primarily specialising in high end road clothing. Founded by Vittore Gianni in 1876, initially as a tailor shop in Milan, it diversified to include cycling clothing in 1910, for riders such as Alfredo Binda. In 1935 Armando Castelli joined the company, purchasing it 4 years later. Shortly afterwards it began supplying riders such as Gino Bartali and Fausto Coppi. By 1975, it was rebranded to Castelli, featuring the iconic scorpion logo, and shortly afterwards produced many revolutionary clothing products, such as the first lycra cycling shorts, windproof jerseys and thermal cycling clothing. To this day, the brand is synonymous with performance cycle wear, and together with Santini, they supply some of the greatest ex and current cyclists on the planet.
